Pennsylvania-based husband and wife duo Jenny and Bill (aka Pocono Mountains Forge) bring the beauty of the outdoors to the kitchen with their collection of botanical hand-forged knives. Each bespoke piece features real dried flowers and leaves enclosed inside the knives’ handles, perfectly preserved in time.

Made using 1084 high carbon steel, the blacksmiths first heat the metal before hammering and shaping it into various blade shapes by hand. Each beautiful handle is designed by the customer, who can pick from a selection of pressed flowers and leaves. From delicate rose buds and pansies to clovers and ferns, the natural elements are artistically arranged before being frozen in place with clear resin. Each knife is also completely food-safe and comes with a hand-sewn leather sheath.

Jenny and Bill began forging metal in 2013 when they spent several years demonstrating blacksmithing at local New Jersey events, where they lived at the time. As their business grew, they moved to a new home and workshop in Pennsylvania where they work every day, doing what they love. The creative duo says, “We live simply, work hard, and we’re loving life!”
